Week of September 12th

This week we began our theme "All About Me". We started off by looking in a mirror and drawing our faces on a paper plate. We also colored wooden Popsicle stick girls and boys.

The children made handprints using green and gold paint. One by one the children were called to the table to have their hands painted with a paintbrush. "It tickles", they exclaimed! Next they pressed their hands onto a piece of paper to create the finished product.

We had our bodies traced and then colored them in.

We are also continuing to enjoy exploring the many different activities and areas in our classroom.

During Mandarin we learned about the Chinese mid-Autumn festival and heard a special story.

We love listening to stories.  This week we read 'All About You' by Catherine and Laurence Anholt,  a book about how we feel and what we like to do.
