Music with Ms. Lisa
We sang the songs, "Bow wow wow. Whose dog are thou"? The children answered, one by one: "I am Anthony's dog. Bow wow wow", followed by "Leticias dog," "Davids dog," and so on until all the children had a turn. Next, we sang, "I've been working on the railroad."
We learned that 'lento' means the music gets slower and 'presto' means the music gets faster.
We played a game that taught us about reading music, based on dots that are on lines and spaces.
Mandarin
The Chinese New Year is approaching (January 28) so this Wednesday we read a story about the origin of the Chinese Zodiac (2017 is the year of the Rooster) and danced to a New Year song. We learned to say "Congratulations" (恭喜 gōngxi) and "Happy New Year" (新年快乐Xīnnián kuàilè) in Mandarin.
