Mandarin
During Mandarin this week we read a book about greeting: We learned how to say hello, thank you, goodbye, and even "please sit down" in Mandarin. We are learning how to identify Chinese numbers 1 to 5 (一 二 三 四 五)and we practiced writing number 2 (二) on a worksheet.
Ms. Ginny's Class
First, Ms. Ginny tapped on the drum two times. Then, each child had a turn to tap on the drum two times to try and follow her lead.
Music with Ms. Lisa
This week we continued singing some of our favorite Halloween songs.
In addition, Ms. Lisa played a matching card game with the kids. She started off displaying a card with a whole note, a half note, a quarter note, an eighth note and a sixteenth note. The kids were given a card from the deck and had to match it with the same note. They caught on pretty fast and did an excellent job matching the music cards together.
